A halfway house is a living facility for persons who are in the process of recovering from drug and/or alcohol addiction, in which they can readjust to life in a newly sober state and discover ways to live a positive and drug free life. A halfway house offers services to provide beneficial help and affirmation so that the person in Bennett can build the confidence and acquire the life tools with which to make it outside of rehab without having to use drugs as a crutch. A halfway house offers a person the opportunity to reintegrate back into real life at their own tempo, while at the same time making available to them the crucial guidance and therapy to have success in their lives once drug rehab is done.
