Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug and alcohol treatment program which is meant to deal with substance abuse issues and mental health issues which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the treatment client in rehabilitation takes part in a number of rehabilitation activities and techniques during the day and then returns home in the evening time. This is done several days per week, depending on the significance of the drug problem.
