Rehabilitating persons who are addicted to drugs and have found their way into the criminal justice system has proven to be effective in preventing repeat drug related crimes for individuals who do take advantage of treatment programs. For criminal justice clients in U S A F Academy who do take part in in drug rehab programs, even un-voluntarily as is sometimes ordered by the court, these individuals have a significantly better chance at dealing with the crux of the issue so that they can remain abstinent and away from being implicated in drug related criminal acts. The costs to society related to these drug related criminal offenses is also affected positively when criminal justice clients become rehabilitated in drug and alcohol rehab facilities in U S A F Academy instead of incarceration or other penalties.
